Liza Minnelli fans will have a chance to celebrate the work of the singing icon in a unique way this year as the Vaudeville Theatre briefly becomes the home of LIZA (On An E) in which Australian drag star Trevor Ashley portrays the performer in a cabaret spectacular.

The Sydney-based star has appeared in a wealth of shows down under and has already presented LIZA (On An E) to audiences as well, but this will be the first time that he has appeared on a West End stage. His career in Australia has seen him take on roles in shows that also had success on these shores like the Australian versions of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Hairspray and Jerry Springer – The Opera, whilst also finding the time to bring the show Don’t Tell Mama to the UK as well.

And just as audiences get to explore the hits of Michael Jackson in Thriller Live, LIZA (On An E) will explore not only the hits of Liza Minnelli – with the help of a live band - but they will also get a glimpse into important parts of her life as well, from her marriage to Peter Allen to relationships with famous family members.

With The Ladykillers returning to the West End with a run at the Vaudeville Theatre from June, LIZA (On An E) will briefly occupy the same stage just before with a run beginning on Tuesday 14th May 2013.
