The Garrick Theatre will be in the fortunate position of welcoming a new show to its stage in October following the closure of the hit musical “Chicago”. Fresh from the West Yorkshire Playhouse, “Loserville” is set to make its West End debut at the venue and in doing so will welcome a host of performers, whilst undoubtedly exciting theatregoers enough to flock to the location in large numbers.

Among the cast members are Aaron Sidwell, Lil’ Chris, Stewart Clarke, Eliza Hope Bennett, Charlotte Harwood, Daniel Buckley and Richard Lowe, with many others also set to take to the stage. They will be working under the direction of Steven Dexter and from a script by Busted star James Bourne.

Whilst musicals like “Jersey Boys” and “Chicago” takes audiences back to the 1960s and 1920s respectively, “Loserville” takes them to 1971, where we are introduced to characters like Michael Dork, his friends Lucas, Marvin and Francis, plus new arrival Holly and rival Eddie. At the beginning of the show we learn that Michael is a computer geek and his friends a group of out-casts but they hope to change the world – something that could be possible when the brainy and beautiful Holly emerges. However, if Eddie has his way, all of this could come crashing down if Holly’s dark secret is learnt.

Aaron Sidwell has numerous credits to his name, tough he is perhaps best known for portraying Steven Beale in “EastEnders” (until 2008) – a prominent role in a career that has also seen him appear in “Lewis”, movie “Blood Army” and the stage show “The Prodigals” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

But he is not the only one with credits to his name and those that pick up theatre tickets will also recognise Lil’ Chris, not only for his work on “Rock School” in 2006, but also for shows like “Never Mind the Buzzcocks” and “Hole in the Wall” on the back of albums like “Lil’ Chris” and “What’s It All About”.

“Loserville” opened its doors at the Garrick Theatre on Wednesday 17th October 2012 (with previews from Monday 1st October 2012)  and continues until 2013.
