Sadler’s Wells welcomes the Stuttgart Ballet with The Taming Of The Shrew and Made In Germany, the former being John Cranko’s version of the Shakespeare classic and the latter bring a mixture of shows, which include some UK premieres.
The Stuttgart Ballet is regularly heralded as one of the greatest ballet companies in the world and so this presentation of shows is not one that fans will wish to miss. After all, ever since they were founded by John Cranko in the 1960s it has earned legions of admirers that have continued to flock to see their acclaimed work.
With Made In Germany they will present the work of some stand-out talents hoping to showcase some compelling performances as well. The works have been put together by renowned choreographers like Marco Goecke, who has also been behind the likes of Songs For Drella and Dearest Earthly Friend, and Douglas Lee, in addition to pieces from the likes of Christian Spuck, Edward Clug, Mauro Bigonzetti and more.
With The Taming Of The Shrew, they showcase the version put together by the group’s founder John Cranko, which promises to be something special as it returns to the stage.
In a year that also brings us the likes of LA Dance Project to the venue, Made In Germany runs at Sadler’s Wells from Monday 18th November 2013.
