The English Chamber Orchestra performs Mozart’s Requiem at the Royal Festival Hall. Though unfinished at the time of his death, the mass has since become a famous piece by the famous composer and remains a popular choice more than 200 years since it was penned.
The work of one of the world’s best known composers will be brought to life on the stage on South Bank thanks to conductor David Hill and the Back Choir, who will treat us to renditions of classics like Don Giovanni Overture, Piano Concerto No 21 In C and Requiem. The result will be something truly breathtaking.
Penned in 1791, Mozart’s Requiem was completed by Franz Xavier Süssmayr in 1792 due to the composer’s death in the December of 1791 and thanks to his efforts audiences have been able to enjoy this classic piece of music for two centuries. It will not be something to miss and as it comes to the stage alongside renditions of the Don Giovanni Overture and Piano Concerto No 21 In C it will be a wonderful night at the Royal Festival Hall.
Mozart’s Requiem is staged at the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday 19th October 2013.
