Pure Imagination

The St James Theatre offers this opportunity to revisit the work of Leslie Bricusse, taking an inward-look at the musical theatre scene with this celebration of the songs that have lit up the stage.

Audiences will experience an evening of memorable performances of the musical numbers that Bricusse has penned during an illustrious career, creating some of the most beloved and toe-tapping numbers to have found a place in musical theatre. He has also been behind various work in films as well, ensuring a widespread audience and a lasting legacy.

The English composer (and playwright) has created music for the likes of Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, Doctor Doolittle and the stage musical Scrooge, amongst others, and audiences can’t get enough of them. So there’s no doubt that they will flock to pick up theatre tickets for Pure Imagination.

By doing so they will hear masterful renditions of tracks like If I Ruled The World, Talk To The Animals, Feeling Good and many more, making it an unmissable show for fans of the iconic talent.

In a year that sees shows like Close To You – Bacharach Reimagined (which also celebrates a legendary songwriter) appear in the capital, Pure Imagination is another welcome addition when it runs at the St James Theatre from Thursday 24th September 2015.
