A celebration of the work of Jonathan Larson comes to the stage of the Lyric Theatre, a venue that is no stranger to celebrating the work of a well known musician. This one-night only event will see various big names take to the stage to looks at the life and music of the late Rent composer.
The show is set to be directed by Hannah Chissick, whose work has previously been enjoyed by audiences around the capital, from Horrid Henry – Live And Horrid at the Trafalgar Studios to Reasonable Offer Refused at the Park Theatre, so she is bound to provide something special on the stage of the Lyric Theatre.
Jonathan Larson died in January 1996 and this performance is staged on the 20th anniversary of that day, back when Rent was only just starting its first run of performances in an off-Broadway venue. In addition to the phenomenally famous Rent, the composer also provided work for various television shows and the production tick, tick...BOOM!, with a posthumous Pulitzer Prize for Drama also awarded to him for his work.
Helping to mark the occasion will be a team of talented performers, including Debbie Kurup, Krysten Cummings and Damien Flood, all of whom previously appeared in Rent.
The production heads to the stage of the Lyric Theatre on Monday 25th January 2016. The venue the ongoing home of Thriller Live, which celebrates the life and career of Michael Jackson, with Seasons Of Larson staged and that productions off-day.
