The popular film The Artist was a surprise hit back in 2011, leading to great success at the Academy Awards, and audiences now have a brand new way to revisit the silent era of Hollywood as The Artist heads to the stage of the Royal Albert Hall.
The movie will be screened in its entirety whilst the London Symphony Orchestra – with Ludovic Bource - provides the live soundtrack. The result is an opportunity for audiences to witness a mesmerising film on the big screen once again, seeing in the New Year with gusto.
The Artist takes audiences back to the silent era of Hollywood as we witness a movie star struggle to make the transition to the ‘talkies’. The movie was a stand-out Oscar winner as it was the first fully black and white film to win in decades. The fact that it is a silent film in its own right also made is an unlikely success story.
So audiences can pick up theatre tickets and revisit the world brought to the screen by director Michael Hazanavicius as The Artist heads to the Royal Albert Hall from Monday 30th December 2013.
