Latest Review: "very poor show, so bad that we left at the interval, the acoustics were so bad we could not hear ..."

Audiences headed to the Edinburgh Playhouse in the Scottish capital will be treated to a musical to remember from the writer of the hit We Will Rock You in February. Ben Elton pens this musical based on the hits of Rod Stewart called Tonight’s The Night and it will be a must-see show for anyone who has enjoyed the songs of the legendary rock performer.

The story centres on an American man who cannot pluck up the courage to declare his feelings to the love of his life. If only he could hit on the girls like Rod Stewart! One night he makes a deal with the devil to trade his soul with Rod’s but this could turn into a bigger mistake than he thinks!

Whether you are a fan of Stewart’s songs like Maggie May or others, this is the show for you. After all, the rock artist is one of the best selling musicians of all time and he remains a firm favourite of music lovers around the world. From his debut album An Old Raincoat Won’t Ever Let You Down to more recent efforts like Merry Christmas, Baby and Time he continues to impress.

Tonight’s The Night opens at the Edinburgh Playhouse on Monday 17th February 2014.
