The Arts Theatre in London will soon be hosting a lecture-style show in the form of “A Guide to Sexual Misery” – a production that has already raised many laughs when it was staged in locations across Europe and on previous outings in the capital. Featuring Wolfgang Weinberger as its host and delivering answers to a wide range of sexually themed questions, “A Guide to Sexual Misery” could be the show to change the way in which you deal with sex well into the future.
The show is set to run at the Arts Theatre from September 2010 and it marks the return to London of a show that was last seen here in December 2009 with a successful run at the Duchess Theatre. Prior to that audiences at the Leicester Square Theatre had also gotten a look in, whilst audiences at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Vienna Concert Hall have also gotten a good laugh out of it. So it is tried and tested, making it something that is already likely to attract a sizable crowd to the small venue on Great Newport Street.
Wolfgang Weinberger is an Austrian sexologist who will also be relying on the participation of the audience to help him get his ideas across. Those concerned that this will mean getting onstage needn’t worry though, as he merely uses the audience as a whole, splitting the room into the men and the women and making for an experience that few could forget.
The press material points out that whilst some people have a great sex life, others do not and so the point of the show is to explore why this might be the case. So get ready to learn some valuable lessons before Weinberger takes his final bow as he gives us his unique insight and leaves us all the wiser.
The Arts Theatre is a smaller-sized London venue on Great Newport Street in London and it is a theatre that will offer a comfortable space to witness Weinberger as he takes us on this sexually-themed journey. It will be a unique show that contrasts with the production of “Puss In Boots” which is scheduled to run afterwards.
