Great performance by Sharon Glass turns this from a good play to a fantastic night out. Her timing is impecable as she is never off the stage for the whole 90 mins or so. The other actors give her a solid platform as they all provide a multitude of charachters for her to interact with and drive the narative forward. Sharon's quickly engages the audiance as she addresses them directly throughout the performance.
The script has some sharpe, witty writing, especially in the first half, even if the ending is a bit scmaltzy. Not laugh a minute but enough chuckles to have you leaving the theatre smiling, and talking about the wonderful Sharon Gless, even if only to wonder whether she was Cagney or Lacey.
Sharon was absolutely brilliant as Jane. The play was funny and sad.
The 2 hours went very quickly with Sharon on stage the whole time. What a great performer she is. 10 out of 10 for Ms Gless.
A truly wonderful play , with a fantastic cast. We will go and see it again soon.
