A unique show lands on the stage of the Charing Cross Theatre from May 2013 as Rebecca Northan, the Canadian performer, brings Blind Date to the venue for a brief run until mid-July.
The show will see Northan portray Mimi in a performance that promises improvisation, comedy, theatre and experimentation. The result will inevitably be something that those with theatre tickets remember for some time to come as Mimi is introduced as someone with whom to fall in love. The Parisian is stood up by her date as part of the proceedings and selects a man from the audience to replace him. As the audience will regularly be different, those in attendance can expect a unique performance each night and a different exploration of a blind date on each occasion.
Rebecca Northan is a multi-talented Canadian performer who has performed around the world who is perhaps best known for her improvisational work, which has led her to be nominated for five Canadian Comedy Awards during her career. She has also appeared on screen like Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium and The Foundation, whilst she previously presented Blind Date in cities in the US and Canada.
Blind Date makes its way to the Charing Cross Theatre for a seven-week run that is due to begin on Tuesday 28th May 2013.
