The Palace Theatre in London’s West End becomes one of the latest venues for comedian Eddie Izzard to perform his popular and acclaimed stand-up comedy show. He arrives at the venue early in 2016 with his show Force Majeure, revamped for 2016 following its unveiling a few years ago.
As a result he becomes the latest comedian to bring his act to the West End in recent years, following the likes of Bill Bailey: Limboland in 2015.
As Izzard remains one of the most popular working comics, this will be a must-see show for stand-up comedy fans in the West End. With his hilarious stories and rambling delivery he has found fans around the world and has enjoyed well-deserved success, so it is likely that his fans will flock to the West End for this new and improved version of Force Majeure.
Izzard has been entertained audiences for decades now, emerging in the 1980s as a street performer and eventually moving on to stand-up comedy clubs. He has since toured the world with shows like Stripped and Sexie, whilst also appearing in an array of films and television programmes. His credits include Cars 2, Ocean’s 12 and 13, Mystery Men, Valkyrie Rage and My Super Ex-Girlfriend, amongst others.
And his stand-up shows, in addition to including impressive and hilarious material, are also known for their foreign translations. Izzard is well known for presenting his shows in other languages, ensuring a global appeal for his unique brand of comedy.
But for British fans, Izzard will present Force Majeure Reloaded (in English) at the Palace Theatre – the home of shows like The Commitments and Derren Brown: Miracle prior to its arrival - from Monday 18th January 2016.
