The Lyric Theatre is hosting an unmissable series of one to one conversations with high profile stars of the stage. It began in January 2014 and continues to attract audiences.

On monthly Monday evenings audiences with theatre tickets are be able to sit down at the Lyric for some intimate talks with titans of the stage; actors that have made an impact on those that have seen them treat the boards.

The latest guest of the series is Tim Minchin, best known to theatregoers for his work on the hit Matilda The Musical, and he is the latest in a long line of stand-out performers to take on the job. Lenny Henry appeared on Monday 20th January 2014 and he was followed by David Suchet on Monday 24th February 2014. Ruby Wax has also been among the guests so it is clear they have managed to attract some big names and the addition of Tim Minchin should be enough to keep audiences interested in this unmissable series of interviews.

Tim Minchin, in addition to providing the songs of Matilda The Musical, is a well known comedian whose work has been seen worldwide. He has appeared on numerous British television shows from Never Mind The Buzzcocks to QI and has also appeared in his native Australia. Recent years have also seen him appear on the hit US television series Californication.

In addition to the star performers, Fiona Lindsay has been announced as the interviewer.

The Lyric Theatre, which is the usual home of the long-running Thriller Live, hosts the latest edition of ENCOUNTERS: Performers on Performance on Monday 7th July 2014.
