London’s Leicester Square Theatre welcomes Epstein: The Man Who Made The Beatles, the story of Brian Epstein and his work as manager of The Beatles. The show will be a delight to any fans of the famous Liverpudlian sensations, with Coronation Street’s Andrew Lancel in a lead role alongside Will Finlason, both of whom starred in the show when it was staged in the North West.
Focusing on the latter days of the iconic manager, Epstein: The Man Who Made The Beatles takes audiences back to the 1960s as we follow his personal life, with flashbacks to his early years on the school playground and his rise as a manager of the biggest band that the world has ever known.
Andrew Lancel, in addition to appearing in Coronation Street, has also taken on roles in a range of television series like Merseybeat, Bad Girls and The Bill (in which he played DI Neil Manson). He has been playing Brian Epstein in this show since November 2012, when it was originally staged in Liverpool.
Written by Andrew Sherlock and directed by Jen Hayes, Epstein: The Man Who Made The Beatles is at the Leicester Square Theatre from Tuesday 5th August 2014 (previews from Wednesday 30th July 2014) to Saturday 6th September 2014.
