A quiet brilliant and intelligent central performance together with clever and involving direction make this one of the best Hamlets of recent years. Scott has a way of negotiating the text in a quite dazzling fashion, far superior to his Sherlock Co-stars recent attempts, anyone who is interested in the art of acting should see this performance. The rest of the cast are a tad pale in comparison with a few duds in the minor roles who need to learn how to project.
