One of America’s most renowned comedians arrives on UK shores to deliver what will be his final run of shows for British fans. Jackie Mason has appeared in the West End before and has also enjoyed success with Broadway shows as well, ensuring that his live career has matched the success of his television and film career. So when he arrives at the Wyndham’s Theatre it is certain to be a show with plenty to offer and for any fan of Mason it will the last opportunity they have to see his work on the British isles – something they are unlikely to want to miss out on.
Mason has spent many decades in the spotlight and during that time he has accumulated a wealth of credits both for the stage and the screen. He has been on Broadway with shows like “Politically Incorrect” and “The World According to Me” and has also leant his acting talents to the likes of “The Ed Sullivan Show” and “The Simpsons” (as the voice of Krusty’s father Rabbi Krustofski), in addition to movies like “The Jerk”, “Caddyshack II” and “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. Such shows have earned him numerous awards throughout his career.
This time around he presents his show “Fearless” to West End audiences and in doing so he will be touching on a variety of contemporary issues, including the state of politics on both sides of the Atlantic. So expect him to touch upon leaders like David Cameron and Barack Obama, whilst also looking at other figures like Sarah Palin and the issues that are on their minds like the economic crisis and the 2012 US elections. Add to the mix other topics like Twitter and the London Olympics and you have an insightful and comic show that is likely to demonstrate his unique gift to make audiences laugh.
Jackie Mason’s latest show is an unmissable event and arrives at the Wyndham’s Theatre following “Christmas with The Rat Pack/The Rat Pack Live from Vegas”, showing that the West End has plenty of entertainment to offer all year round.
“Jackie Mason: Fearless” runs at the Wyndham’s Theatre from Monday 13th February 2012 to Saturday 17th March 2012.
