James Freedman: Man of Steal

Age Restriction: Suitable for all ages

The West End is the home to a wide variety of shows that demonstrate a great wealth of choice, from the musicals and plays that make the district world famous to other productions like stand-up performances and magic.

But from May 2015 Trafalgar Studios 1 will present something a little different as it welcomes a well known pickpocket performer to its stage in the form of James Freedman, whose hit show Man Of Steal already wowed crowds at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

As a consultant he has advised many different performers the art of pickpocketing for film and television roles but now he can demonstrate this to audiences first hand in a stand-out show that will undoubtedly create great interest with London theatre fans.

Man Of Steal will be an entertaining look at the world of trickery and hustling as he delves into the techniques implemented by con artists, pickpocketers and more, which regularly rid people of their cash. The result will be a show that is as eye opening as it is informative, whilst also providing an entertaining evening.

James Freedman is well known for having successfully pickpocketed some big names, from politicians to celebrities, and he has taught his skills to filmmakers and actors for use on the big screen, ensuring that the illusions and sleight of hand skills are represented accurately. He has also performed live on numerous occasions, entertaining high profile crowds and demonstrating his skills for maximum effect. His credits as a consultant, meanwhile, include everything from Oliver Twist to The Brothers Bloom (as well as the film adaptation of Les Misérables, the stage musical of which can be seen at the Queen’s Theatre).

So for fans of illusions and trickery, James Freedman’s Man Of Steal will ensure a great evening out as it joins other solo productions like Bill Bailey: Limboland and Dawn French 30 Million Minutes in the West End in 2015. All of these shows feature experts in their field putting on memorable shows for adoring crowds.

James Freedman: Man Of Steal runs at the West End’s Trafalgar Studios 1 for performances starting on Friday 29th May 2015 (with previews beginning on Tuesday 26th May 2015).
