One of the biggest shows in Korea, Jump, returns to the Peacock Theatre, where it wowed audiences in the West End back in 2006, and in doing so it introduces new London audiences to a spectacle that has achieved widespread success around the world.
Since it had its first Peacock Theatre run in 2006, the production by Ye Gam Theatre has returned on numerous occasions and this latest run of performances promises to be awe-inspiring once again. This comedic martial arts masterpiece has now been seen by an uncountable number of people worldwide and enjoys a home in Seoul in its own theatre – the Jump Theatre in Pusan.
Jump focuses on a pair of unsuspecting burglars who have no idea what is about to unfold as they make the biggest mistake of their criminal career. When they break into the household of this Korean family they come face to face, not with priceless loot, but with a grandfather who is a tae-kwon-do expert, a mother with karate skills, a weapons-expert father and an uncle who is more than capable of defending himself. The result is a martial arts masterpiece, a comedy that has admirers worldwide with performances that will dazzle audiences and have them on the edge of their seats.
From acrobatics to sword fights and from martial arts to dizzying somersaults through the air, Jump has everything you could wish for in the West End.
In addition to the Peacock Theatre, Jump has also appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2005 and on the other side of the Atlantic on Broadway.
This year the Peacock Theatre also welcomes The 7 Fingers: Sequence 8 and Ballet Revolución, to name but a few shows, but audiences will likely flock to the venue to see Jump from Tuesday 28th October 2014.
