A moral dilemma lands on the stage of the Hampstead Theatre in London with the premiere of Luna Gale, the new play from Rebecca Gilman. Featuring an impressive list of cast members and directed by Michael Attenborough, audiences will have a riveting tale to sink their teeth into.

Based on the success of Gilman’s previous shows and the credentials brought by Attenborough and performers like Sharon Small, this is certainly something to keep an eye on and will provide a memorable and compelling evening for London theatre audiences.

Those picking up theatre tickets will undoubtedly recognise Sharon Small, who has appeared in a wealth of television and film roles over her career. She is perhaps most familiar for her part in The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, though she has also appeared in the likes of Silent Witness, Law & Order: UK, Nina And The Neurons and Sunburn, among others. For the stage, her roles have included shows such as Arden Of Faversham for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Men Should Weep at the Lyttelton National Theatre, Spur Of The Moment at the Royal Court Theatre and Life Is A Dream at the Donmar Warehouse, to name but a few.

The plot focuses on the character of Caroline Cox (Small), an investigator in the Department of Human Services. She finds herself delving into a complex case when she meets Peter and Karlie, two teenagers who recently became the parents to eponymous Luna. At first it seems like an everyday job but it turns out there’s a lot of parties vying for the future of Luna, with various reasons behind their stakes in her life. It is up to Caroline to reach the correct outcome, something that becomes more and more difficult as time goes on.

Her co-stars include Alexander Arnold, Caroline Faber, Ed Hughes, Corey Johnson, Rachel Redford and Abigail Rose.

Luna Gale is at the Hampstead Theatre from Saturday 13th June 2015.
