The legendary Michael Palin returns to the stage in London as his show Travelling To Work makes its way to the Palace Theatre for one night in October 2014. As part of a tour that sees him take in various cities around the United Kingdom, he lands in the West End to take a look at a life that has included epic travels and an enviable career in comedy.
Michael Palin: Travelling To Work is a solo show that will offer audiences an insight into the two areas that have made Palin famous – travelling and comedy – and it comes in the same year that Monty Python, the world-famous comedy group of which he is part, returns to the stage at The O2 Arena.
So before the interval, audiences that pick up theatre tickets will hear stories from his travels around the Earth and when audiences return for the second half they will then get an insight into his life as a fan of comedy, exploring the childhood that would eventually lead to his fame on a world stage.
Michael Palin is well known for his appearances with Monty Python and worked on many of their most famous sketches. He also appeared in the Monty Python movies and other well known comic masterpieces. Recent decades have also seen him appear in numerous travel documentaries for television, from Great Railway Journeys Of The World for the BBC in the 1980s to Brazil With Michael Palin in 2012.
Michael Palin: Travelling The World is at the Palace Theatre on Monday 20th October 2014.
