The renowned Swiss mask theatre company Mummenschanz return to London for the first time in almost a decade in 2014 as they bring their latest show The Musicians Of Silence. It will see them create something truly spectacular on the stage of the Peacock Theatre in July as they don masks and utilise props and magic to create a lasting impression on the crowd.
Suitable for the whole family, The Musicians Of Silence will see all of this unfold with nothing spoken, with shadows and expressions utilised to take audiences on a journey that they won’t forget.
Mummenschanz was founded in 1972 and has put on productions that have been seen around the world, working with an array of talented performers and appearing in various television shows as well (the most famous of which was The Muppet Show in the late 1970s). They celebrated their 40th birthday in 2012 with an anniversary production called 40 years.
In a year that also brings an array of other stand out shows to the Peacock Theatre – such as The Merchants Of Bollywood, Shadowland, Silk Road, Blaze and My First Ballet – Coppelia, Mummenschanz brings The Musicians Of Silence to the venue from Saturday 19th July 2014.
