Pam Ann - Flying High

London is often said to be amongst the best places in the world to experience live comedy, with the London circuit featuring an abundance of comics trying to hit the big time. Then there’s the West End, where other more established comics take to the stage and perform in front of large audiences. And each year, with various big names announcing shows in venues across Theatreland, the West End proves that this reputation will live on.

And from September to October 2010 it will be the Vaudeville Theatre that attracts an array of comedy fans as they flock to witness the Australian comedian Caroline Reid in character as Pam Ann, the outrageous flight attendant that has earned her fans worldwide.

Her latest show takes the form of “Pam Ann: Flying High” and when it lands at the Vaudeville Theatre it will be the latest venue to house the star who has already appeared in locations such as the London Palladium, the New Wimbledon Theatre and the Hammersmith Apollo, amongst others, with previous shows like “Pam Ann: One World Alliance”. For her fans it will be another opportunity to witness an act that has been well known to leave audience members in stitches

Her appearance at the London Palladium was the last time she was seen in the capital when she performed briefly in December 2009 and has been a regular face on world stages since she first emerged in the 1980s. Her career has since seen her release an abundance of DVDs, including “Come Fly With Me”, embark on sell-out tours and even make television appearances in the likes of “Fast Track” for the BBC. Some audience members may even recognise her from a series of adverts she took part in for British Airways.

And such appearances have confounded her reputation onstage for her outrageous performance style, which mixes comedy aimed at the absurdities of the airline world, with double entendres and quick wit. So if you are a fan of high quality comedy from a talented performer, then “Pam Ann: Flying High” may just be the show for you as she performs the show at the venue later in the year.

Pam Ann: Flying High makes its appearance at the Vaudeville Theatre from Wednesday 29th September 2010 and continues until Sunday 10th October 2010.
