The West End once again proves to be the best place to witness great children’s entertainment as Peppa Pig returns to the capital with Peppa Pig’s Surprise. Keeping kids engrossed this Christmas season, the lovable pig will be preparing some fun and games on the stage of the Duke of York’s Theatre.
As you might guess from the title, the show focuses on a surprise for Peppa and George. Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig know what it is, but Peppa can’t guess!
With amazing full size puppets plus songs and plenty of games, this is bound to be a fun time at the theatre for youngsters.
But we wouldn’t expect any less from Peppa Pig. The character has appeared on television screens for some time now and she has proven to be one of the most popular children’s characters of the last decade. She was created by Astley Baker Davies and her enduring popularity ensures there will be plenty of happy faces at the Duke of York’s Theatre this Christmas.
It will appear at a time of year that welcomes an array of stand-out shows for kids. Whilst they are off school they can choose between a host of shows, like Elf The Musical at the Dominion Theatre and The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre.
Meanwhile, the Duke of York’s Theatre is also the home of Goodnight Mr Tom this Christmas, playing evening performances from December and continuing into the New Year.
Peppa Pig’s Surprise plays in the daytime at the Duke of York’s Theatre from Friday 18th December 2015, itself running into 2016.
