The Trafalgar Studios witnesses a weekend night out as Raz makes its way to the West End. The Jim Cartwright play, which has already entertained audiences at the Edinburgh Festival in 2015, makes its impression on London audiences from March 2016.
This time around Cartwright’s work is directed by Anthony Banks and his son James Cartwright takes to the stage as performer.
Our story follows the character of Shane, a man who works from Monday to Friday and makes the most of it at the weekend as he heads out on the raz – a night on the town that will see him consume an array of substances, party and converse with the opposite sex.
Jim Cartwright is a well known playwright who’s perhaps best known for penning the acclaimed show The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice, which earned a Laurence Olivier Award when it was directed by Sam Mendes in the 1990s. He has various other credits as well of course, like the film version Little Voice and plays like Road and Prize Night.
Raz appears at the Trafalgar Studios 2 in London’s West End from Tuesday 22nd March 2016.
