Trafalgar Studios 2 becomes the home of a Charles Dickens Double Bill from December as it welcomes two shows that will place fresh perspective on the famous 19th century writer.
Sikes & Nancy is one of these shows, which plays at the venue on conclusion of Miss Havisham’s Expectations on nights leading up to January 2015. The show sees James Swanton take on a range of roles onstage as Dickens’ own readings are reinterpreted by the performer in the West End, with a murderous story unfolding onstage.
James Swanton has performed Sikes & Nancy around the country, from the Tristan Bates Theatre in London to York’s Theatre Royal Imaginarium, and as a result it is already a tried and tested piece that has earned many admirers. The performer’s other credits include In The Penal Colony at the Arts Theatre, Scrooge & Marley at the Waterloo East Theatre and Much Ado About Nothing at the Cambridge Arts Theatre, to name but a few. He is an acclaimed performer and has been received much praise for his work.
Sykes & Nancy is the second of two productions appearing as part of this Double Bill, with theatre tickets also on sale for Miss Havisham’s Expectations, a reinterpretation of Great Expectations told from the perspective of the eponymous Miss Havisham. It stars Linda Marlowe.
The unmissable Sykes & Nancy appears at Trafalgar Studios 2 (following Miss Havisham’s Expectations) from Friday 12th December 2014 (previews from Tuesday 9th December 2014).
