Love Shakespeare, but why were his (near) contemporaries so poor? Thought this was meant to be one of the best plays of that time, but that's the problem - it is just 'of that time'. It's a farce without the laughs. A few sniggers from the audience but no real laughs. The actors all tried to breathe life into the corpse, but the first half (1 hour 20 mins) seemed to go on forever and we just couldn't face staying for the second half. We'll never know if the second half was sensational - but we very much doubt it, having suffered the first half.
