This winter audiences headed to the Arts Theatre will have the choice of two Christmas shows as “The Lazy Elf” runs throughout December alongside an appearance from the most famous of them all “A Christmas Carol”. It shows that the West End still has plenty to offer the younger crowd when it comes to high quality entertainment.
“The Lazy Elf” stars television’s Ben Hanson in a tale that focuses on Larry, an elf who is nowhere near as hard-working as all of his co-workers. As one of Santa’s little helpers he should be getting on with all of the presents that he has to make in time for Christmas Eve, but he would much rather have some sleep.
Audiences will recognise Ben Hanson from children’s television shows like “The Story of Tracy Beaker”, whilst older audiences might also recognise him from “Casualty” so he has plenty of experience in keeping audiences happy.
And with “The Lazy Elf” he will have the help of Jo Noel-Hartey’s script, her latest in a long line of shows that include the likes of “Dream Street”, “Big Fluffy Slippers” and “The Mouse Who Didn’t Like Cheese”.
“The Lazy Elf” appears at the Arts Theatre from Saturday 10th December 2011 to Thursday 22nd December 2011.
