The Trafalgar Studios 2 is set to welcome François Archambault’s “The Leisure Society” in March 2012 and not only will it feature the performing talents of Ed Stoppard and Melanie Gray on the stage, it will also see the supermodel Agyness Deyn take on a lead role. Meanwhile, the role of director has been handed to Harry Burton, whose work has been seen in London on numerous occasions in the past.
“The Leisure Society” is a show that has been described as a ‘morality play’ and as such we witness a weekend of debauchery as the vulgar couple, portrayed by Stoppard and Gray, meet with their free-spirited friend Paula (Deyn) for excess and self-indulgence.
Agyness Deyn is best known as her work as a fashion model and as a result she has appeared in a range of advertisements and magazines, including the likes of Vogue. As an actress her highest profile role has been in the blockbuster 2010 movie “Clash of the Titans” and will next be seen in the film “Pusher”. She has also worked as a singer, lending her vocals to songs by artists like Five O’Clock Heroes.
“The Leisure Society” follows on from shows like “Dublin Carol”, “Huis Clos” and “Sex With a Stranger” at Trafalgar Studios 2 with theatre tickets available for dates from Thursday 1st March 2012 (previews from Tuesday 28th February 2012) to Saturday 24th March 2012.
