Best play we have seen in years. Such fun. A really enjoyable evening out. Acting first rate.
Don't be fooled. The trith about "The Truth" is that although a simple-minded West End crowd seemed ready to indulge this effort (8pm start so perhaps they were longer at the bar than usual) it is probably worth saving your money.
Flimsy, predictable, slow, derivative play. Sitcom acting, particularly by the male lead who I see has been praised in some reviews.
90 minutes of sheer delight. A very skilled adaption by Christopher Hampton about a man who is having an affair but is not certain who does and doesn't 't know what is going on. The twists and turns keep the action going and he, and indeed the audience, can never be sure who s telling the truth.
Not to be missed.
