Adele announces new album details
Adele is poised to release her new album next year, announcing that it will be entitled 21.
The record is the follow-up to her hit debut record 19, with the new release following the theme of being named after the age she was when she recorded it.
Mainly produced in Malibu, the album features the talents of Rick Rubin, who has in the past worked with artists including Johnny Cash and Jay Z.
"I'm very excited, nervous, eager, anxious but chuffed to announce my new album," the singer, whose full name is Adele Adkins, stated.
Her record is to be preceded by a single entitled Rolling in the Deep, which was produced by Brit Paul Epworth and is due for release on January 16th 2011, with the album following a week later.
As yet, the singer has not announced any tour dates, with her last live shows taking place in the US during May 2009.
