Brandon Flowers enjoys playing small gigs
Brandon Flowers has stated that one aspect of releasing a solo album that he is enjoying is playing in smaller venues again.
The lead singer of The Killers released his debut solo record Flamingo earlier this year and told BBC 6 Music that he likes how special it can be to play in a more intimate setting.
"They're still, obviously, quite a lot smaller than The Killers' venues - so it's been a real treat. Especially those first few early gigs, which were five or 600 people," Flowers stated.
Another aspect that the singer said he liked about performing his new material without the rest of the band was that he got to work with two female backing singers, explaining that they fill the sound of the tracks.
Having just completed a tour of the UK, Flowers is set to head back to the US to perform a string of solo concerts, as well as releasing his new single Only the Young.
