Burn the Floor hailed by critics
Burn the Floor has been given positive reviews on the strength of its energy and passion.
According to Jeffery Taylor of the Daily Express, this "irresistible" show features plenty of adrenaline and high-octane music.
He noted that while the setting is predictable, with traditional dancing fare such as a central staircase and glitter ball, it does not really matter.
Mr Taylor said this is because theatregoers will come away only remembering the "rhythmic bodies" of the dancers "punching out the beat" and "grinning with delight".
He hailed Burn the Floor for doing "exactly what it says on the tin" and combining genres such as ballroom, ballet and hip hop into one.
The critic added that the male dancers in the show are frequently stripped to the waist, while "the girls seem to wear less" throughout.
This comes after Sarah Wilkinson of The Stage commended Burn the Floor for showcasing the talents of "gorgeous" dancers and smouldering with sex appeal.
Burn the Floor is currently running at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London.
