Cast changes announced for The Woman in Black

Wednesday, 17th Nov 2010

New cast members have been announced for the West End production of The Woman in Black.

The long-running spine-tingling play, staged at the Fortune Theatre, will see Patrick Drury take to the stage in the role of Arthur Kipps, replacing Michael Mears.

Anthony Eden will perform in the role of The Actor, taking over from Orlando Wells.

The changes to the cast will take place on December 20th 2010, shortly before the play has its Christmas break between December 25th and 27th.

Adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt from the novel by Susan Hill, the production first opened at the Fortune Theatre on June 7th 1989.

The play tells the chilling tale of solicitor Arthur Kipps, who was summoned to Eel Marsh House following the death of sole resident Mrs Alice Drablow years earlier, as he recounts his experiences to The Actor in an attempt to banish the ghosts from his past.
