Charlotte Church returns with new album
Charlotte Church is preparing to make her comeback assault on the charts and has a brand new style to go with it.
The singer, who shot to fame as an 11-year-old opera star, is going for a new image and sound with the release of Back to Scratch.
After her first attempt at pop music with the 2005 release of Tissues and Issues, Charlotte is giving it another try with a sound that has been described as "multi-textured pop dynamite".
Plus her new look will be giving fashion followers plenty to talk about, as promotional pictures of her wearing an asymmetric green dress and a pair of shoes covered in feathers have already attracted plenty of press attention.
The first single - the title track from the album - deals with the breakup of a love affair, although others songs focus on her relationship with her mother and the jazz track Ruby, about her life as a mother.
Set for release on November 5th, the record will feature 14 tracks.
