Dawn French: 30 Million Minutes at the Vaudeville Theatre
Well Known Comedian Bringing Her Solo Show to the West End from November 2015
The West End regularly attracts some the Nation's best known comics to perform their solo shows amongst the wealth of regular musicals and plays seen in the capital. Recent years have seen everyone from Rob Brydon to Ed Byrne appear, with Bill Bailey set to bring his latest show Limboland in 2015, and now another name can be added to the list.
From November 2015 Dawn French, best known as one half of French And Saunders, will be taking to the stage of the Vaudeville Theatre with her new solo show 30 Million Minutes.
This is going to be the ultimate show for fans of the performer, whose career has spanned decades, as it is said to delve into her life, covering personal issues and her career. So expect stories related to a wealth of items, from comic shows to marriage. It appears in the West End following its successful appearances at venues across the UK.
Dawn French needs little introduction and to many can easily be regarded as a national treasure. Her career has seen her appear in some of the most successful British comedies of the last few decades and she continues to find new fans. She emerged as part of the Comic Strip Presents team as part of alternative comedy boom of the 1980s, which saw her make early appearances in The Comic Strip Presents and The Young Ones, before moving on to her more famous work in French And Saunders and The Vicar Of Dibley. Her stage work, meanwhile, includes live performances with Jennifer Saunders, plus La fille du regiment at the Royal Opera House, Smaller at the Lyric Theatre and My Brillian Divorce at the Apollo Theatre, to name but a few.
The show actually runs prior to the arrival of Bill Bailey in December, whose show Limboland is the latest in a long line of successful stage shows for the comedian, from Part Troll to Dandelion Mind.
Dawn French: 30 Million Minutes appears at the Vaudeville Theatre from Wednesday 11th November 2015 to Saturday 5th December 2015.
