Dirty Dancing extends London run
Dirty Dancing is to extend its run in the West End through to October 2011.
The musical, based on the hit film starring Patrick Swayzee and Jennifer Grey, is to continue playing at the Aldwych Theatre until October 29th next year.
Adapted for the stage by Eleanor Bergenstein, the musical opened in the West End in 2006, featuring some of the most famous tracks from the movie including Time of My Life, Do You Love Me? and She's Like The Wind, there are also extra tracks written especially for the show.
As well as including all of the most memorable moments that fans have come to love, the stage version also includes new scenes telling the love story of Baby and Johnny, who are currently played by Hannah Vassallo and Johnny Wright in the lead roles.
Prior to the opening of the production in London, the show had completely sold out its first six month run.
