Double chart success ahead of Bruno Mars tour
A double chart success has been seen ahead of the Bruno Mars tour, which kicks off in March 2011.
The American singer is celebrating after it was revealed yesterday (January 23rd 2011) that he had topped both the singles and the albums chart in the UK.
His song Grenade held on to the top spot for the second week running, beating Adele's track Rolling in the Deep, the first from her new album, into second place.
But there was also cause to celebrate in the album charts, as Mars' record Doo-Wops and Hooligans, which features his current single and his former chart-topper Just the Way You Are, also went straight in at number one.
Selling 86,000 copies in its first week alone, it could mean that concert tickets for the performer's forthcoming UK dates will be in very high demand among his legion of fans.
Those who would love to see him performing live have the chance to see him perform in cities including Manchester, London and Cardiff at several small venues in mid-March.
