Extension for Nice Fish as Potted Panto Returns
Another week and another announcement for new dates of popular shows, one in the form of a booking extension for the upcoming Nice Fish at the Harold Pinter Theatre and the other the return of Potted Panto, which is set to play at the Garrick Theatre this Christmas season.
Nice Fish is not due to open at the Harold Pinter Theatre until November but demand for tickets has already led to a fresh batch of dates being announced, which will take it to February.
Then again this is hardly surprising considering the talent involved, with Mark Rylance one of the biggest names in the acting world and this show being his collaboration with Louis Jenkins, penning the script together.
The story centres on two old ice fisherman, Ron (Rylance) and Erik out looking for one last bite out on the ice. It is Minnesota and the season is at an end, but they are determined to land a big one. All of this, however, gives them a lot of time to talk. Claire van Kampen directs and the cast also includes Jim Lichtscheidl as Erik, plus Kayli Carter, Bob Davis and Raye Birk.
The extension grants the show an extra three weeks and with it another three weeks of options for audiences deciding whether or not to take the plunge. So Nice Fish runs at the Harold Pinter Theatre from November and until Saturday 11th February 2017.
Meanwhile, Potted Panto is a returning favourite for kids, which has played in the West End previously, for example at the Vaudeville Theatre during the 2013/2014 Christmas season. This time around it entertains the crowds at the Garrick Theatre, where Dan and Jeff will Once again take us through seven pantomimes within an hour and a half.
It is one of many shows in the ‘Potted’ series, which has also included Potted Potter, Potted Pirates and more. The talented duo are both known for their television work in CBBC and others.
The production returns to the West End and runs at the Garrick Theatre from Saturday 10th December 2016 to Sunday 8th January 2017.
