Florence and the Machine scoop two Q Awards
Florence and the Machine were the big winners at this year's Q Awards, scooping two prizes.
Florence Welch picked up the prizes for best female and the award for best single at the ceremony yesterday (October 25th 2010) for her cover of the track You've Got the Love.
Other big prizes went to Kasabian, who were named the best band in the world and Paulo Nutini, who was awarded the gong for best male.
The best album prize went to American group The National for their release High Violet, beating well-known names including Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon and Green Day to the title.
Clare Maguire, who is currently on tour with best breakthrough act winner Plan B, was named as the next big thing.
Attendee Charlotte Church was photographed in the same dress she wore at the ceremony heading to Radio 2 for an interview to promote her new album Back to Scratch.
