Frankenstein tickets a top tip for 2011
Theatregoers may be clamouring for Frankenstein tickets after the production was named as one of the top tips for 2011.
Compiling a list of the most anticipated shows to hit the West End in the coming year, Michael Billington of the Guardian stated that the new adaptation is one to watch.
He explained that Nick Dear's new stage version of Mary Shelley's gothic classic will mark the long-awaited return of Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle to the theatre.
After beginning his career directing plays, Boyle moved into the cinema and went on to work on films including Shallow Grave and Slumdog Millionaire.
Opening on February 5th 2011 at the National Theatre, those with London theatre tickets will see Johnny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch alternate in the roles of Dr Frankenstein and the monster he created.
The show also marks the first time that Miller and Boyle have worked together since the 1996 film Trainspotting.
