Garbage reform for new album
Garbage have announced that they have reformed to produce their first new material in five years.
Lead singer Shirley Manson announced at a talk at the University of West Scotland that she has been working on new material with her former band members.
She added that she would also be interested in hitting the road again in 2011 to support their new material.
"It's the first one in a long time. I took about five years off. I'd like to do some touring next year," the 44-year-old frontwoman stated.
The new record will come following a break when Mason left to pursue solo projects, although no material was ever released, with their last album as a four-piece being the 2005 LP Bleed Like Me.
A greatest hits compilation, featuring some of their best known singles including Stupid Girl and the theme to the 1999 James Bond film The World is Not Enough, was released in 2007.
