Go! Team European tour 'absurd'
A music writer has been left gobsmacked by the number of dates on the upcoming Go! Team European tour, labelling it "absurd" how hard the band intend to work.
Harold Schueberg suggested on Tiny Mix Tapes that the quantity of gigs the group are set to play to support the unveiling of their new album Rolling Blackouts is rather impressive.
He described their music as a "fever-inducing" mixture of Sesame Street and The Jackson 5, while lauding the impending new release for the quality of the guests set to make an appearance.
The Go! Team, who already have two albums under their belts, are set to unveil the new long-player in February and it will feature contributions from Best Coast singer Bethany Cosentino and Deerhoof vocalist Satomi Matsuzaki.
Mr Schueberg suggested the upcoming concerts by the band could add an extra "umph" to the release of the record, which will feature tracks such as Bust-Out Brigade, Yosemite Theme and Ready To Go Steady.
