Home talent to star at Manchester United games?
Fans heading to Manchester United games will continue to see young local talent in the squad, according to the chief executive.
Getting world famous players into the side over the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City is not one of the club's priorities, David Gill explained.
While their rivals across the city have spent £135 million of players since the beginning of the summer, Mr Gill stated that Man U's lower bill simply reflects their ethos to give new stars a chance to play for the side.
"We can compete for top players. People say we don't, but we have bought well and our goal is to make sure we develop our own players," the team's executive stated.
Red Devils supporters with sports tickets to the club's forthcoming Premier League game against Birmingham City on January 22nd 2011 will be eager to see if they can keep rivals Manchester City behind them in second place.
