Kasabian to take a break from recording
Kasabian fans might have to wait a while before they can see the band perform live again after they announced they were having a break from touring.
Following their headline performance at V Festival this weekend, lead singer Tom Meighan told the News of the World that he wants to record a solo album during their time apart.
But the Shoot the Runners performer confessed that he is not especially looking forward to the break and needs something to focus his attention on.
"It's all right for the rest of the band with their families and babies. But I will need to find something to occupy my time," the 29-year-old said.
Meighan also explained that travelling while on tour had left the group exhausted and in need of a break.
The band have enjoyed success with three hit albums, with their first release, the eponymously entitled Kasabian, issued in September 2004 and producing singles including Club Foot and Processed Beats.
