Katherine Jenkins a fan of War Horse
Katherine Jenkins has spoken of how a trip to see War Horse left her in floods of tears.
The opera singer told the Evening Standard that War Horse, which is currently being performed at the New London Theatre, was the last show she went to see in the West End.
Jenkins told the newspaper that she was a fan of the story of a horse that is sent to the trenches of the First World War and is used by soldiers on both sides of No Man's Land.
Describing the play as being "one of the best things I've ever seen", the 30-year-old added that the story "moved her to tears".
Those who have not yet seen the production, which features incredible life-size puppets of the horse Joey created by the Handspring Puppet Company, have the chance to book tickets until February 18th 2011.
The Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris-directed production is based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo.
