Killian Donnelly in Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre

Whilst new shows come and go in the West End, with revivals and one-off events at the same time, one thing remains true in the capital – you can still see Les Misérables at the Queen’s Theatre. The production, which has been a mainstay of the London theatre scene since 1985, continues to draw in the punters and from June they will be witnessing a team of new performers inhabiting the iconic roles.

After all, to ensure the show Amongst them is Killian Donnelly, who takes over from Simon Gleason in the role of Jean Valjean, and he is joined by a wide range of new actors.
Les Misérables if, of course, the famous Cameron Mackintosh musical based on the novel by Victor Hugo that takes us to France in the early 19th century and provides us with a wealth of colourful characters as we follow them across decades in French history. The main players are Jean Valjean, an ex-con wanted for theft, and Inspector Javert, the relentless police inspector determined to put him back behind bars. It is an epic tale that has stood the test of time.

Actor Killian Donnelly is a regular on the stage, having performed in a range of shows in the West End, on Broadway and in Ireland, and as a result audiences will recognise him from many of the capital’s most famous musicals. In recent years these have included Billy Elliot The Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre, The Commitments at the Palace Theatre and Kinky Boot at the Adelphi Theatre, the latter of which he reprised on Broadway.

When he appears in Les Miserables he will be joined by an impressive cast that includes Carley Stenson as Fantine, Steven Meo as Thenardier, Jacqueline Tate, Hayden Tee, Hyoie O’Grady and more.

The production continues at the Queen’s Theatre and is currently booking to Saturday 14th October 2017. Meanwhile, the new cast members join on Monday 12th June 2017 (with further performers also joining on Monday 17th July 2017).
