Kyle Riabko in What’s It All About? Bacharach Reimagined at the Menier
Full Cast Revealed for the Upcoming Burt Bacharach Celebration at the Southwark Venue
Earlier this year it was revealed that the Menier Chocolate Factory is going to be providing the home to the hit New York show What’s It All About? Bacharach Reimagined. The production will celebrate the work of popular musician Burt Bacharach, responsible for a wealth of iconic songs over the last century, and now some cast members have been revealed, including some of those responsible for making the production such a hit in the US.
Performer Kyle Riabko is set to appear in the London production alongside James Williams and Daniel Bailen, also from the New York show, as well as Renato Paris, Stephenie McKeon, Anastacia McCleskey and Greg Coulson.
Whilst there are plenty of musicals in the capital that celebrate well known artists, this production will have more in common with the likes of Thriller Live than We Will Rock You as it focuses on performances of the singer-songwriter’s work. It reinterprets his work with an eye on refocusing it for a new generation and considering its popularity in the States it is clear that producers have pulled it off.
Kyle Riabko is a multitalented artist who has appeared in various shows in the US, though he received a lot of attention for What’s It All About? Bacharach Reimagined in New York. His other credits on the other side of the Atlantic include hair and Spring Awakening, though audiences with theatre tickets might also have had the opportunities to see him onscreen in the likes of 90210 and Cinema Verite. He has also released albums and singles.
Burt Bacharach has been responsible for a wealth of well known songs over the years, including those he penned for himself and those for others. His work includes Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head and Say A Little Prayer, amongst others. Though his best known work emerged many decades ago, he still performs to this day.
What’s It All About? Burt Bacharach Reimagined replaces Communicating Doors at the Menier Chocolate Factory from Friday 3rd July 2015 to Saturday 5th September 2015.
