Legally Blonde 'is great fun'
Legally Blonde: The Musical has been hailed for its high fun quotient by lead actress Sheridan Smith.
Speaking to the Telegraph, she said many people were doubtful about whether the show would work when it first started its run.
Smith stated that this was partly because she was well known for playing "common" roles, such as Janet in BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.
"I think people are pleasantly surprised," the actress commented.
"Pink fluffy show, you know - just great fun. Does what it says on the tin - cheers you up."
Smith added that Legally Blonde: The Musical features a "brilliant" cast of musical theatre performers.
However, she admitted that when she started her stint in the production, she felt a bit of a "fraud" alongside performers of such a high calibre.
Smith's other acting credits include The Royle Family, Gavin & Stacey, Eyes Down, Benidorm and Grownups.
