Liam Gallagher to tour with new band
Liam Gallagher is to hit the road next year for the first time with his new band Beady Eye.
The former Oasis frontman will be taking to the road in March 2011 by performing six shows.
The group, which also includes former Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, will begin their UK dates with a two-night stint at the Glasgow Barrowlands on March 3rd and 4th.
After travelling to Manchester they will perform tracks from their as-yet unnamed debut album at the O2 Apollo on March 6th and 7th, before finishing at London's Troxy on the 9th and 10th of the month.
A free track entitled Bring the Light was released for download earlier this month, the first new music produced by Gallagher since Oasis split in 2009.
In addition to his new band, the singer has also been working on a fashion label named Pretty Green, which recently picked up the prize of menswear brand of the year at the Drapers Awards, beating designers including Paul Smith and Tommy Hilfiger.
