Mamma Mia – Here We Go Again!
If you’ve managed to resist heading to London’s Novello Theatre until now, you’ll be pleased to know that the hit musical Mamma Mia has extended its booking period until October 2016, which will also mark the shows 18th year of playing in London.
Money, Money, Money
The announcement comes after the show ended its run on Broadway in September this year, after an incredible 5,773 performances, making it the 8th longest show in Broadway history. The Broadway production of the musical was also 1 of 5 musicals to play for over 10 years and was seen by over 7 million people.
The show’s creator Judy Craymer has been highly acclaimed for transforming a collection of Abba classics into a heart-warming story about family and friendship, set on a glorious Greek island. Due to the musical’s growing popularity it was turned into a movie in 2008 starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth. The movie was well received and became the highest grossing live action musical of all time.
